I originally obtained this piece in 1987.  This is a very good piece for the location, and they are not seen on the market very often. Former collection of Frank Knechtel, and he got it from the miners.

I originally obtained this piece in  Dec 1972 and they where mined in Oct 1972.  Very rare crystal form. Only seen on the market when old collections come up for sale. Very hard to photograph.

I originally obtained this piece in 1987.  Some minor chipping on the main crystal. Only seen on the market when old collections come up for sale. Largest crystal is 2.4 cm. Former collection of Frank Knechtel.  And this piece was originally purchased from Volunteers for Minerals in San Diego.

My dad originally obtained these in the mid 1970's.   These where from a lot that Leo Horensky obtained from one of the first batches produced in San Diego.  Value ????, history yes, cutting value at least two nice size stones from the larger one.

I originally obtained this piece in 1985.  The crystal is a dark brown with some clear spots in it. Very nice for the location.  The area is not producing very much material anymore.

Small chipping on the tips.  It is what it is.  Looks like Rutile is included within the Quartz.
